Safety precautions are paying off. The accident rates of medium-duty truck accidents are holding steady and are actually decreasing in some locations. It’s all due to hard work and safety-related practices on the behalf of manufacturers and drivers and advanced safety technologies.
While medium-duty trucks aren’t as high as heavy-duty trucks, they still pose a hearty risk to drivers, passengers, and others on the road. It is the goal of production managers and drivers alike to eliminate accidents altogether. That’s a tall order. The fact that accident rates are not increasing for Class 3-6 trucks, but the number of drivers is hails as a huge accomplishment.

Isuzu is a manufacturer that just keeps surprising the public. Every year, they are adding more features to make their commercial work vehicles more powerful, more comfortable, more efficient, and more economic. This time, they’ve done all that and have a promising new captain at the helm too.
Shaun Skinner has been appointed as the chief executive of Isuzu. He’s the first local to be elected to oversee the overseas distributorship. He joined up with American Isuzu Motors in June of 1987 and in 2002 moved to ICTA. By 2016 he was named as the first American president of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America.
Skinner has been quoted as saying that he’s bullish on the future of medium-duty trucks which comes as welcome news to those who drive one. It’s only fitting to announce of Saint Patrick’s Day that Isuzu Motors is the first in the line of commercial work trucks to truly go green. The Japan-based manufacturer is notorious for features on its work trucks like 4-cylinder turbo diesels and now it is taking the vehicles to the next level…electric.
In 2018, Isuzu debuted an all-electric truck at a truck show in Indianapolis. It was based on the Class 4 NPR-HD, a Quebec-based developer and manufacturer.
The model will be used to modify the N-Series trucks Isuzu currently has on the market which are among their most superior vehicles. The testing process is already underway with extensive emphasis being placed on such things as the charge times, load capacities, weigh capabilities, and estimated distance per charge.

As a severe winter storm pounds the northeastern United States, the nation is bracing for even more snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. If you own a commercial work vehicle and want to earn some cold cash, you’re in luck. There are plenty of opportunities to do so.
