Tiny houses aren’t new.  In the past decade, they have become more popular.  But there has always been the problem of how to get them to and from their destination.  Some creative souls have solved that issue.  They are putting the tiny homes ON wheels – flatbed trailers, to be exact. 

Tiny homes can be purchased on a lot or they can be built to personalized specifications.  They can be hoisted onto the flatbed of a truck, or they can be custom built right onto the truck bed.  Most homes come prewired for electricity and contain the plumbing they need as well.  When building your own, you’ll need to figure those details in.

Some tiny house dwellers are opting for life on the road, traveling full-time.  They generally park in RV camp sites.  Others go nowhere at all, finding their sweet spot at a local trailer and camper park or on their own land.  Do check your location’s policy on tiny homes before committing to one because they vary from place to place. 

If you are into construction, you might save big bucks on building your own tiny house.  Or, you can hire someone to do the work for you.  Still, some prefer to simply go to the lot and pick a pre-built home.  In the event that you already have your truck, you can drive it right off the lot.  How easy is that?
